New Atv tires for my Polaris 425 magnum and Rough Cut Mower Review

Well after having a blow out on the right rear tire on my Atv it was time for a new tire.
And honestly it would have been great to buy one, but who wants to have one new tire and the other old and going bald tire. So it was a necessary item to go ahead and get a second new rear atv tire.

I looked at a few that I thought would be good but landed on buying the DNT Deestone D930 tires, they weren't as expensive as some of the others. I had my put on at discount tire for $80/tire but these on amazon on the link were cheaper at about $62/tire with free shipping.

Pro's:
1. the tires are a more average all around tire than something real aggressive for say mud but these grip the surface real well.
2. cheaper than others
3. 4 ply tire to resist cracking and punctures

Con's:
1. It feels a little more of a lower profile tire
2. 28lbs per tire that grips a little hard when turning real sharp



Overall-
The tire for money performs real well in 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive mode. I had plenty of traction to move some trees on my land where before moving cedars can be tough to do with a Atv.
And to mention I mow around 5-6 acres of pasture with my Swisher RC11544BS 11.5 HP 44-Inch Rough Cut Trail Cutter and the tires did fine pulling it and mowing over rocks and even hitting a few cactus's.





The 44inch mower has been great, I've had mine for 4 years now and have just kept the standard maintenance on the engine. Biggest issues I've had is keeping the belt tight, but once a year I'll buy a new belt and blades and it makes all the difference in the world!

If I had to do it over again I wish I would have spent a little more and went with 14.5 hp engine instead of the 11.5hp. I have 18 acres of land and moving 5 to 6 acres and cutting trails and high brush would definitely be easier on me with the electric start instead of the manual one having to get off the atv if it gets too bogged down and engine dies.

So my advice, just go with the larger engine

An Honest Review Of the Sun Oven-- The Ultimate Solar Appliance

After stumbling across this very cool device that uses the sun to heat or essential cook your food I was a little skeptical as to if it would really work.  But to my surprise this Sun Oven is really awesome!  it averages a respectful 325 to 350 degree cooking tempature in the sun which can cook about most anything including baking a cake, slow cooking ribs, brisket, pot roast, and plenty of baking if you like using your dutch oven.

Also,  the upgraded version includes the option as using it as a dehydrator to make beef jerky, dehydrated fruits and veggies and from there the sky is the limit!!

I was thinking with something this cool the price would be pretty hefty but I was throughly surprised to see that amazon had it discounted to around $340 bucks instead of the $400+ I had seen at other websites.
So hey this solar oven is legit... It gets my A+ rating... so buy from Amazon below with no regrets ;)

Open Letter- "hunting season comments" to TWRA

Hi, 

my name is david harper and I live in the spring hill, tn area and definitely love to hunt here in TN!  I wanted to add a few comments, and share my thoughts of what would make hunting in TN even better.

I'm originally from TX and grew up hunting in the TX hill county and have some of my fondest memories there.  I've always loved hunting here in TN, espicially in the beautiful fall colors and have always worked on getting a property ready to hunt prior to the season opening.

But one thing that's always concerned me is the average hunter- who probable doesn't have a whole lot of money- will never be able to get his hunting lease ready with food plots unless he buys a tractor, disk, seeder, spreader, etc etc and you and I know it takes allot of cash just to manage a property.

But the one thing I've always wished that would translate a little better here in TN is the option to add a feeder to your lease or hunting property and it not be considered baiting just like it is in TX.  I think if this option was allowed it would work well but only if hunters were allowed to use a certain amount of corn or feed thrown each day, but enough to have deer coming on a regular basis. If this was practiced out of a conservation nature it wouldn't dramatically hurt a deer population as to one's deer heard that was dependent on someone dropping 50lbs of corn all the time and every deer in the area was there. And it would still make it more feasible for the average hunter to have deer on his farm without spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Secondly, I've never understood why the big game hunting season for adults needed to end on January the 8th every year.  Yes,  the deer are preassured from the hunting but to allow more hunters to get that big buck, or put more meat of the table is well worth it to have the season extended. If not alone for the majority of guys who can only hunt the weekends and are lucky to just get a shot at any deer before the season is over. 

Lastly,   the type 094 doe tag is such a drag for hunters, we already dished out enough cash to TWRA just to hunt and now you guys have to get more greedy and require us to spend more money to shoot an already abundant doe population.  I always feel this isn't right and try to swallow it as just another way the politcal system works here in the state of TN.

Please help change my mind and bring real change to our beautiful state.

How to Completely Get Rid Of Skin tags Naturally!

This is something I just found out about recently and for whatever reason with age and being I guy I guess I've developed some skin tags on my chest.  Normally,  I would say-- "screw these little suckers I don't need to worry about them" but one has been getting pretty big around my armpit and my shirt rubs on it, then it gets irritated and painful.  So I had to really figure something out without spending allot money and wanted to remedy it naturally.

I found out that if you drop a couple drops of "Pure Tea Oil"

on there it will turn black and when keep applying it just falls off! :)  So I had to try this out,  and believe it or not this Tea Tree Oil is really awesome!!  Now don't go take a bath in it, its powerful stuff and acts as a disinfectant to kill infections on the skin, bacteria, and being pure go easy on it.  But this stuff really works.  I'll even post a picture of mine turning black right before it was going to fall off so you can see how it went for me.  Forget going to dermatologist,  do it the natural way and start seeing some great results.

How to Plant Corn in your Garden

Some of the techniques I use to plant corn is as follows:

1.  Do a soil test,   once you get your results add the minerals or whatever to balance ph as much as possible.

2. Make sure your soil is at 60 degrees or very close as this an ideal temperature to plant corn regardless if its May, or June.   Use a soil thermometer to know for sure.

3, plant your corn in rows, typically with your seeds 6-10" a part and each row should be close to 2-3ft apart. The reason for rows together isn't it just because it will look pretty but more importantly it helps pollinate the corn stalks and to grow and produce much better.

**Another cool tip to keep the weeds down with using what's already on your property, and without the use of chemicals is to put black walnuts around the soil,  the acidity and organic matter gets into the soil and helps by keeping weeds at bay.

You can also use pine needles, or even plant some clover around the corn and it will compete for that space and drive out allot the weeds and you won't have to deal with it as much.

Game Winner Manual Meat Grinder- Pros and Cons

Advantages and Disadvantages of making Tennessee your Survival Retreat

Disadvantage:

- High Drug Use, and High welfare and unemployment at least in the east TN, with many folks just milking the government and down right lazy and not wanting to be an active worker in society.
